Qigong is a self-healing modality rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine that allows us to work with universal life force energy (qi) to cultivate harmony, healing, and vitality. By unifying our given gifts of body, breath, and mind, we can optimize our senses and fine-tune our divine instrument. As we are guided by the cycles and rhythms of Nature, we exist in harmonious flow with life and universal qi. The principles of Yin/Yang Balance and the Five Elemental Phase Theory are the basis of qigong teachings. By opening the flow of vital life force energy, qigong aims to dissolve blockages and reinstate qi balance and nourishment for health and holistic well-being. This self-perpetuated practice combines gentle movements, guided mind, and vital breath along with self-massage, and healing sounds.
Qigong enhances self-regulation, balances emotions, and reduces stress of all kinds, allowing one to remember how the body can truly relax, become deeply attuned, and heal. Its slow, rhythmic movements and relaxed connected breath reset the nervous system. It has been proven over millennia to support emotional and spiritual harmony, to enhance vitality and longevity, and to optimize all physical and biological functions. By improving energy flow and organ health, qigong strengthens the body’s capacity to adapt and recover, enhancing resiliency and vitality.
Being an embodiment practice, qigong helps to reclaim our sacred container and allows us to develop a deeper relationship with our authentic selves. This mind-body-breath practice connects us to our inherent wisdom, reminding us that healing comes from within. It opens the door to self-realization and autonomy and regains our power to heal our selves: mind, body, spirit. Qigong becomes a way of life and a way to self-serve. It is a deep form of self-love, enlivening the senses and our sensuality. It reawakens the body and how it responds to the life force that runs through it and our interwovenness with all things. This transformative practice encourages us to be an amplified version of what we are meant to be. We are part of the flow of life’s universal qi, and qigong reminds us of our innate power.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:
Monalisa has served as a rehabilitation nurse nearing two decades. Realizing an integral piece of the human condition was missing from modern medicine, she discovered the power of Chinese medicine. Qigong aligns with her love and connection to Nature and its teachings. She aims to help others become empowered by their given gifts and innate capacity to heal themselves, to enhance their vitality, and to live in harmony.

Qigong at School Of Miracles
Qigong is a gentle and adjustable practice, and is typically practiced in a standing position, but can also be adjusted into a seated form. The beauty is to listen to the body and tend to what it tells you, to practice within its limits while having the awareness that qi is limitless. It is an accommodating and forgiving modality, and the goal is to move, breathe, and tune in. The benefits are subtle but deeply powerful.
Come as you are. All experiences welcomed.
